A new requirement comes into effect on 30th June 2019 where the standard requires instruction/owner’s manuals to also “be available in an alternative format such as on a website or on request from the user in a format such as a DVD.” QEC Global recommends that you should make a move on your next website refresh to upload owner’s manuals so your customers can download them directly from your website. Then there will be no hold-ups with new product certifications as there will be available evidence you are complying with this requirement. If you don’t have a website, or won’t have one functional by then, ensure you can provide electronic copies of owner’s manuals by email etc.
