If you market wall switches (including socket outlet switches) for fixed installation, then the new requirements coming into effect on 19th August 2016 will mean that your brand name must appear on the front where it is visible after installation.
Poor marking requirements to date have meant that easy identification of brand names of electrician-installed wall switches has been difficult after they have been installed. The new requirements will ensure that when installed, and even after a removable decorative cover is removed (or lost), the brand name or trademark will still be identifiable. In addition, the details of operating frequency and model number are to be on any visible position of the switch or its cover. Please ensure your next production has the tooling geared-up for this marking change.
