QLD Electrical Safety Office (ESO) no longer issues certificates

History is being made in Queensland where the Electrical Safety Office has announced that it will no longer be issuing approval certificates or renewing certificates already issued. They have told QEC Global that they will continue to renew the small accessory certificates for items such as supply cords and plugs, but not for larger equipment. It is all part of the strategy to remove themselves from the certification process and focus more on compliance, enforcement, advisory and support services. What this means to you is if you have an ESO certificate, it will not be renewed by the ESO and we must get it renewed by another certifier. The RCM logo shall be used to indicate approval and the old ESO approval numbers will cease to exisit for your products. This applies equally to modifications for certificates. QEC Global has access to the best avenues to certification and we would be happy to discuss this with you should you have an expiring ESO certificate.
